Anthony and Kamila Kingston, founders of Yavelle, deuterium depleted water Australia

Founded on a research question

Yavelle began with a research question rather than a business plan.

In 2024 we came across deuterium depletion while reading widely in metabolic science, and what struck us first was how little known it was. There is a research literature going back to the early 1990s, an established industrial production process, and yet almost nobody in Australia had heard of any of it.

What struck us second was how it was being sold. Almost every brand in the category leads with claims the evidence does not support, which makes a genuinely interesting subject difficult for anyone serious to engage with.

That combination is what led here. Our aim is straightforward: to be a reliable supplier of a product that is precisely specified, independently verified batch by batch, and described without overstatement. Stock is held in Australia and the USA, with discounted subscription plans so you never run out.

Anthony Kingston, co-founder of Yavelle, author and health researcher, Gold Coast Australia

Anthony Kingston Co-Founder

Anthony has spent over 25 years at the intersection of health science, research, and business. He and Kamila met while studying Chinese Medicine in Sydney and later lived and practised across China and many other countries.

He has written 4 books on Chinese Medicine concepts, 2 of which became Amazon Bestsellers, and has been published in dozens of scientific and general interest magazines. He holds a Master's in Herbal Pharmacology from the University of Sydney and has appeared on national television and in national newspapers.

In April 2026, Anthony attended the 5th International Congress on Deuterium Depletion in Budapest, where he met researchers working in the field including Dr Gábor Somlyai and Dr László G. Boros.

Kamila Kingston, co-founder of Yavelle, Queensland Export Awards finalist and businesswoman

Kamila Kingston Co-Founder

Kamila is a practitioner, author, and award-winning businesswoman. In 2024 she was a finalist in the Queensland Export Awards for Women in International Business. In 2025 she was a finalist in both the Telstra Best of Business Awards for accelerating women and the Gold Coast Women in Business Awards for Export and International Business.

Kamila now allocates time to supporting other entrepreneurs on their journey to becoming successful businesswomen. Both Anthony and Kamila also mentor small rural businesses through a not-for-profit organisation.

At the 5th International Congress on Deuterium Depletion

In April 2026, Anthony travelled to Budapest to attend the 5th International Congress on Deuterium Depletion, joining researchers from UCLA, Hungary and across the globe.

He met Dr Gábor Somlyai, the Hungarian biochemist whose group began deuterium depletion research in the early 1990s, and Dr László G. Boros, Professor of Pediatrics at UCLA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who founded Yavelle?
Yavelle was founded by Anthony and Kamila Kingston, a husband and wife team with over 25 years of experience across health, research, and business.

What is Yavelle DDW?
Yavelle produces deuterium depleted water at 25 parts per million. DDW is water processed to contain a significantly lower concentration of deuterium than regular water, which sits at around 150 parts per million. Every batch is independently laboratory tested and the certificate published before sale.

Where is Yavelle based?
Yavelle is an Australian company founded on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Stock is held in both Australia and the USA.

Why did Anthony attend the Deuterium Depletion Congress?

To meet the researchers working in this field directly, and to deepen our own understanding of the science behind the product we sell.

What does Yavelle publish about the research?
We maintain a research page presenting the published literature on deuterium depletion alongside the published criticism of it, with links to primary sources.

We do not characterise what that research concluded and we make no claims based on it. We would rather you read it and form your own view.
